Elizabeth started at PTP in the PED program and then joined LBS. She was an active member of both the Food and Events teams; she worked very hard in level 5 communications and math to improve her skills. She is now preparing for her GED test.
Gail started coming to PTP for the LBS program soon after her arrival in Canada. She was a very positive and goal-oriented student. She joined the Newsletter Team to help improve her writing skills. After a few months of upgrading, Gail went on to a job in retail.



Joshua was registered into Job Solutions in July 2007. He started the program and his resume was created with the assistance of one of the facilitators. The Job Developer set up an interview with an innovative company that provides products and accessories for iPods. Joshua was hired and started work in August, 2007. Joshua experienced quick success and was named “Employee on the Month” in “September 2007”. He is happy with his job.
Kenneth was a student of the LBS program at PTP from January 2007 during which time he moved from a Level 3 to 4. He registered for the Job Solutions Program in August 2007 and attended an interview at National Rubber Technologies. He received a full time job offer and started as a Machine Operator four days later. Kenneth passed his probation period successfully, has since received a pay increase and is still happily working today.


Laura came to the PED program from September to December 2007. She was placed into our upgrading program to work on her communication skills. During her time at PTP, she developed a PowerPoint presentation for future PED clients about the benefits of the program. She applied for a job as an administrative assistant. She got the job – a one year contract with hopes of renewal. Now she is working 28 hours a week and loves her job.
Ryan started in Level 4 in LBS and finished with his level 5 certificate. He was elected student of the month, and he went through the Building for the Future (BFF) program. He is now enrolled at Humber College in the culinary program. He wants to be a chef.
