Women Under Stress

Program Description

Women Under Stress is a program where women learn to manage stress, share experiences, receive information and support and develop strategies to cope with life. The program runs three times a year in January, April and September for approximately 8-10 weeks. The group meets once a week on Thursday mornings from 9:30 to 12:00.

The program is open to all women and focuses on building self-esteem and confidence, managing stress and learning the difference between passive, assertive and aggressive behaviour. Attending the Women Under Stress program helps to identify stress, looks at how it affects you mentally and physically and helps you learn new ways to manage stress.

Offered at our West Centre, Women Under Stress is run as a partnership with Opportunity For Advancement (OFA). Opportunity For Advancement works with women in disadvantaged life situations, and has been developing and offering innovative groups for socially and economically disadvantaged women for over 30 years.
