Program Description

A Pre-Employment Development (PED) program designed to help participants plan and prepare for training or work.

What to expect

For clients facing multiple barriers to employment the PED Program provides:

  • expert career exploration and vocational guidance
  • assessments and inventories to assess skills and work interests
  • an individualized action plan
  • one-on-one counseling, guidance and support
  • small group workshops

Special features of this program

Life Skills workshops addressing topics such as:

  • time and personal management
  • effective communication and conflict resolution skills
  • money management
  • health and eating well

Who is eligible?

  • adults 19 years of age and older who require enhanced supports and services
  • those who have a Grade 12 education or less

Program duration

  • 12 week program
  • Part-time hours
