Training for entry-level jobs in Ontario’s fastest growing industry

This free program provides training to participants looking for a job in the food processing sector. The in-class components are designed with direct participation of the food processing employers in both delivery and program design to offer relevant skills employers are seeking.

Elevate is a ten-week program which incorporates 8 weeks in class on the requirements within the food manufacturing industry such as: Food Safety Standards, GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP,  Workplace Safety, Workplace Essential Skills, Sanitation, Communication, Problem Solving skills as well as two weeks  work experience through a paid job placement. Participants will also get certified in WHMIS and food handling.

Motivated and ready to work

Ontario Works recipient

Ability to lift up to 50Ibs

No work experience required
