Our knowledgeable and experienced team of Resource Specialists, Employment Counsellors, and Job Developers are ready to help you every step of the way.

What we offer

Career and Employment Counselling

Need extra help planning your next steps? Our friendly and helpful Employment Counsellors can provide you with as much or as little assistance as you require. If you have less than a Grade 12 diploma, or need extra help with your literacy or language skills, we can help!

Our team members work with you to:

  • Develop a long-term plan to meet your individual goals
  • Discover and understand your interests and skills
  • Support and guide you in further education or training
  • Learn to network, make cold calls, and find employers with job opportunities
  • Improve your interview skills and create an effective resume
  • Understand employer expectations, worker rights and responsibilities, and Canadian workplace culture
  • Help you disclose your disability to employers and access workplace accommodations
  • Gain access to modified materials and workshops if you’re facing literacy or language challenges
  • Access one-on-one counselling
  • Obtain mentorship and coaching for life skills and job placement
  • Connect with employers on your behalf and find the perfect match for you!

Resource and Information Centre

Our Resource and Information Centre staff are available to support you with:

  • Information on your local labour market, occupations, and job opportunities
  • Resources for your independent use
  • Job listings
  • Information on training and community support services
  • Creating a job search strategy
  • Filling out applications and registration for education or training programs
  • Using the computer, email, fax, photocopier, and telephone
