Canada Ontario Job Grant

The Canada-Ontario Job Grant (COJG) provides direct financial support for employers in purchasing training for their workforce. Designed to support employers in taking a greater role in workforce development, employers have the opportunity to choose the individuals to be trained, as well as the type of training necessary to meet their workforce development needs. The COJG requires a cost-shared training investment by employers in order to qualify for the grant.

Strategic Priorities for the COJG:

  • Supporting unemployed individuals: Employers are willing to hire and train unemployed individuals to fill their job vacancies
  • Supporting Job Creation: Employers use the grant to support expansion of their workforces
  • Increased Job Quality: The grant supports permanent, sustainable full-time jobs
  • Job Advancement: The grant enables incumbent workers to remain in their current positions, or for incumbent workers to take new positions within the business that offer greater responsibilities and/or rate of pay.

Job Trials and Training Incentives

At Job Solutions, Work/Job Trials are developed to match employers’ requirements and employment opportunities with candidates’ skills, capabilities, interests, qualifications and experience. Working in collaborations with you (the employer), our staff identifies the duties of the job and any accommodations that may be required.

We provide training incentives, to help cover the cost of training your new employee. We work with you and the candidate to help ensure a good experience at work by matching you with a candidate that is qualified, motivated, and ready to work.
