Today, the students at PTP West raised money for relief efforts following the earthquake in Haiti. The Food Team prepared macaroni and cheese and a rice and lentil dish; the Bits and Bites Team sold fruit, juice and pop, and both teams donated their sales. Students also donated cash.
Our total was $172.64.

Bits and Bites is part of the Teamworks component in the Literacy and Basic Skills program. The Bits and Bites team manages a small snack shop that serves the participants and staff at PTP West. Members of the team sign up for shifts, purchase and repackage items for resale, and make sales using a Point of Sale system. Below are some pictures of the team at work.
