Our 2009 AGM was held last month at the Chefs’ House.

We presented our 2009 annual report, and there was a screening of selected portions of Laura Sky’s documentary Home Safe Toronto. The documentary focuses on how Canadian families in economic crisis deal with homelessness. Laura Sky led a discussion of the film and its relevance to the economic and housing challenges adult literacy learners face.

The AGM was again held at the Chefs’ House at George Brown College. The restaurant is staffed by students in training at Centre for Hospitality and Culinary Arts, and they once more excelled in preparation and service. You go guys!
