PTP’s Annual General Meeting was held on December 2, 2008.

At the meeting, we presented our annual report for 2008. We also welcomed four new members to our Board of directors: Anita Agrawal, Houdeh Houshangi, Claire Gumus and Evelyn Reyes. Jonathan Hahn, Bianca Gikondi and Paul Tan were re-elected for another term. We also bid farewell to these members of the Board: Belinda Huang, Sarah Milton-Lomax, and Joanna Lim.

Our most recent research publication, Filling the Gap, was unveiled; lead researcher Matt Foran presented some key findings from the report.

The meeting was catered by the Chefs’ House, a new restaurant that is staffed by students enrolled in programs at George Brown College’s Centre for Hospitality and Culinary Arts. Students operate the open-concept kitchen and provide service to guests, while gaining real-world experience in the hospitality industry.
