Mock Elections at PTP West

“From October 7th to the 14th, the students at PTP West Centre held a mock election. During this week we learned the correct process and procedures of voting in elections, while practising our computer skills by making voters lists and ballots. We also had the opportunity to practise the roles of election officer and DRO’s (Deputy Returning Officers). There was a 60% turn out for our election with many of the students being first time voters.

Seven people signed up online with Elections Canada to work at the polls on October 14.” – Barbara
